Whether we’re helping someone learn how to navigate the fixed route bus system or assisting someone interested in obtaining a CDL, the MWRTA is ready and willing to serve the community. The MWRTA offers a variety of special programs that are open to the public. Please click on the program name to learn more information about each program.

Learning how to access and use the MWRTA fixed route bus system has never been this exciting and easy! This program is specifically designed to teach you how to ride the MWRTA fixed route bus system safely and independently. Travel training fit to everyone's needs, currently offered free of charge.
This entry level Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) program has been created by the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA) and financed through a state grant spearheaded by Senator Karen Spilka, a major advocate of public transportation. The program’s main intent is to help guide people in acquiring an entry level CDL license from start to finish. Individuals enrolled in this program will be taught and trained by CDL professionals, some of whom have been in the transportation industry for many years. Our experienced CDL instructors will prepare students for earning their Class C licenses with a passenger endorsement. Before the end of FY 2015, the MWRTA intends to offer training for school bus endorsements as well.
