Upcoming Service Changes:

 

Route Revisions: 1, 2, 3, 6, and 14 - September 3, 2024

On Tuesday, September 3, 2024 MWRTA will launch revised schedules and maps for routes 1, 2, 3, 6, and 14.
  • Route 1 will have timing adjustments throughout the entire schedule.
  • Routes 2 and 3 will have new stop locations, new travel patterns, and timing adjustments throughout the entire schedule.
    • The Route will now have a second bus added during the PM schedule, providing 30-40 minute frequency between 1:30 - 7:30 PM.
    • When travelling through Saxonville, instead of using Water St, Routes 2 and 3 will now travel on Nicholas Rd, Pinewood Rd, and Elm St.
    • The MetroWest Medical Center will now be serviced only once on each route.  It will be serviced after Rose Kennedy Lane on the Route 2, and after the Banana Lot on the Route 3. 
    • Normandy Rd. / Flagg Dr. will be re-added as a stop point before servicing Rose Kennedy Lane.

  • Route 6 will have timing adjustments throughout the entire schedule.  Route 6 will also now have weekend service while travelling in to Milford in the morning, and back from Milford in the evening.  Weekend timepoints will be listed on the Route 14 Weekend Schedule. 
  • Route 14 will have timing adjustments throughout the entire weekday schedule, and will now have weekend service!  The route will operate as the 6 in the morning travelling outbound to Milford, and in the evening when travelling inbound back to the hub.  The weekend Route 14 will operate Saturday's and Sunday's and will have the same stop points as the weekday schedule. 

Additionally:

  • The GO Outdoors Summer Routes will end service on August 30.
  • The MassBay Riverside and Campus Shuttles will resume service on September 3.

Sudbury/Wayland Hospital Shuttle and Sudbury Pilot MicroTransit Service

On July 1, 2024 MWRTA will launch pilot microtransit service in Sudbury. 

 

The Sudbury Catch Connect service will operate July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025.  It will run Monday - Friday from 12 - 6 PM, within the Town of Sudbury, plus the Target Plaza on Route 20 in Marlborough.  Riders can book trips directly through the MWRTA Catch App on their phone, or by calling (508) 283-5083. And through July and August, this service is FREE! For full details, visit www.mwrta.com/catch.

This service is made possible through a partnership with GO Sudbury, the Sudbury Senior Center, and the Sudbury Transportation Committee.  For more information on services in Sudbury, visit sudbury.ma.us/transportation. 

On August 6,2024 MWRTA will launch a Boston Hospital Shuttle for Residents of Sudbury and Wayland

TryTransit For the Summer!

MassDOT and the Legislature have extended TryTransit again, this time through the summer!  Fixed Route riders will continue to recieve free fare through the end of August by registering an MWRTA Catch Card and tapping it on the bus. 

Starting July 1, all Catch Connect services will also be free!  When booking a trip either through the MWRTA Catch App, or by calling in, fares will automatically be free - there is nothing you need to do!  If you currently do not use Catch Connect but want to try it, visit www.mwrta.com/catch for details on how to use the service.

Up-to-the-Minute Bus Route Info

MWRTA is participating in Google Transit - click here and then type in your directions to utilize this service. Use the Google Transit Trip Planner to get step-by-step transit directions in your web browser. Enter a starting and ending address or destination serviced by MWRTA and you will be given schedule and fare information for navigating the bus system.

The Google Transit Trip Planner is also available for some mobile phones by navigating to http://m.google.com/maps in your mobile browser. You may also get directions to and from the MBTA service area into and out of the MWRTA service area.

In Honor and Respect for our Country's Symbol

The MWRTA is now accepting your old, tattered, or otherwise damaged American Flags at the Blandin Hub for proper disposal.

Customer Service will be happy to take your flag(s,) which will be placed in a designated container to be properly disposed of at a later date.
