RIDE Transition

Please Note: Beginning, July 1, 2016 the MW RIDE transfer point will be changing from the Wellesley Farms MBTA Station (90 Croton Street, Wellesley) to The Riverside Station at 333 Grove Street in Newton.

Important Notice for Wellesley, Weston and Dover ADA Passengers

Beginning July 1, 2016 the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority will provide ADA and non-ADA paratransit service for current MBTA passengers.

If you live in Wellesley or Dover and are currently eligible (or become eligible for paratransit transportation with the MBTA by 6/30/2016) the following service guidelines will be offered to you effective 7/1/2016:

Wellesley passengers: Service 7 days per week including all holidays. First pick up at 5:30am and last drop-off at 12:30am the following morning.

Direct service to the following towns: Dover, Framingham, Natick, Needham, Newton, Waltham and Weston as well as to all other MWRTA communities within ¾ mile of a fixed bus route.

Wellesley passengers wishing to travel to all other towns serviced by the MBTA will be transferred to an MBTA paratransit vehicle at Riverside train station, 333 Grove St., Newton.

Cost to travel within the MWRTA service area is $2.00 for a one way trip. Cost for a transfer trip will be $2.00 to the MWRTA and $3.15 to the MBTA for a one way trip for most destinations.

Dover passengers:Service 7 days per week including all holidays.First pick up at 5:30am and last drop-off at 12:30am the following morning.

Direct service to the following towns:Dover, Framingham, Medfield, Natick, Needham, Newton, Waltham and Weston as well as to all other MWRTA communities within ¾ mile of a fixed bus route.

Dover passengers wishing to travel to all other towns serviced by the MBTA will be transferred to an MBTA paratransit vehicle at Riverside train station, 333 Grove St., Newton.

All passengers who wish to travel to the MBTA service area (other than those communities which the MWRTA will transport to directly) will need to maintain a current fare account with the MBTA.

Wellesley and Dover passengers should book all local and transfer trips needed after 6/30/16 through the MWRTA. Our Call Center is open from 8:00am to 4:00pm 7 days a week including holidays. Our phone number is 508-820-4650.

All Metrowest ADA and non-ADA paratransit passengers must contact the Call Center at 508-820-4650 to create a fare account if they have not done so previously.Passengers must carry a positive balance at least equal to the cost of any future trip(s) booked into our system.

Paratransit customers may book trips up to two weeks in advance. Funds for fares may be deposited by phoning the Call Center directly or by mailing a check or money order to:

If you wish to make payments on-line, contact the Call Center at 508-820-4650 and a temporary password will be issued to you.Please, do not mail cash.

Important Notice for Weston RIDE Passengers

At the request of the town of Weston, the Metrowest Regional Transit Authority has been directed not to provide local ADA and non-ADA paratransit service which was to become effective on July 1st, 2016.

The MBTA will continue to provide current ADA and non-ADA service as it has to date.

Please continue to book your rides with the MBTA as you have in the past as there will be no disruption in your current service.
